Dear Reader, A lot has changed over the last couple of seasons, with a new Chairman of Eastern Jumping and changes of NYSEF personnel in Lake Placid. Matt Cook, who had been creating New Heights for several years, has left his full-time NYSEF position, so no issues of New Heights appeared in 2008. At the spring meeting of the Eastern Jumping Committee, Dan Warner was elected Committee Chairman, replacing Art Tokle, Jr., who had served for eight years. At the same meeting, Ryan Crawford volunteered to take over as editor of this newsletter. With the help of Jody Graves, Ryan has produced his first issue, which is being distributed only electronically (no "snail-mail" for now).
